Sammy Marshall
Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Marshall graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a minor in nutrition. A two-time Summit League Player of the Year (2013 & 2014) and national stolen base leader (2012 & 2013), Sammy holds five career school records - BA (.456), Hits (240), Runs Scored (166), Stolen Bases (134), OBP (.500). Marshall also ranks in the top 3 in five single season categories including BA (.478 in 2014, .465 in 2013, and .459 in 2015), Hits (77), Runs Scored (49 in 2014 and 46 in 2015), Stolen Bases (45 in 2012, 32 in 2014), and OBP (.534 in 2013, .514 in 2015, .506 in 2014). She recently graduated with her MBA concentrating in Sports Business, from Saint Leo University.
Drafted 18th overall by the Chicago Bandits in the 2015 National Pro Fastpitch draft, Sammy has been named a finalist for the Rawlings Gold Glove award three times at centerfield. Sammy is a two-time NPF Cowles Cup Champion (2015 & 2016) with the Chicago Bandits. Sammy played 5 season in the NPF, four (2015-2018) with the Chicago Bandits and one (2019) with the Cleveland Comets.
Sammy has coached collegiately at Saint Leo University, helping lead the team to the Division II Softball World Series - a first in program history - and also served as the head coach of the Judson University Eagles.

Shelby Turnier
A graduate of the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Turnier garnered the most successful pitching career in UCF history. The first First-Team NFCA All-American in Knight history with the lowest ERA in the nation (.87) her junior year, Turnier ranks top 5 all-time in seventeen career pitching categories including ERA (1.75), Oppo BA (.188), Strikeouts per 7 inn (7.83), Wins (80), Shutouts (23), Innings Pitched (742), and Strikeouts (830). Turnier also ranks top 3 in six single season categories including ERA (.87), Oppo BA (.148), Strikeouts per 7 inn (9.18 in 2014 & 9 in 2015), and Strikeouts (268). Turnier was also inducted into the UCF Athletics Hall of Fame in 2023.
Drafted 11th overall in the 2016 National Pro Fastpitch draft by the Chicago Bandits, Shelby was a 2018 all-NPF pitcher with a 1.12 ERA. Turnier was instrumental in securing the 2016 NPF Cowels Cup Championship by pitching in four of the six games played, including a 1-2-3 7th inning agains the USSSA Pride in Game 3 of the Championship series.
Shelby worked as an assistant coach at the University of North Florida and under her tenure, was instrumental in decreasing the staff ERA from 4.14 in 2015 to 2.41 in 2018, while increasing strikeouts from 109 in 2015 to 256 in 2018.
